The Church of Jesus Christ in India (CJCI) was established in 1995 as a charitable organization with a vision to serve the underprivileged in society. Although started as a small church, the organization soon became aware of the problems faced by the society, and felt the need to reach out to the needy. With this vison, CJCI initiated a project called “Lighthouse”, which like a lighthouse would bring light and joy into their lives and give them a bright future.

CJCI initiated it’s social project in 1999, called ‘Lighthouse Ministries (India)’ to help the destitute. Today Lighthouse oversees several projects for their welfare, specially in rural regions. Over a period of time these projects have been a source of blessing for many lives.
